HELP OUR NHS

Many people are busying themselves doing acts of kindness for friends and relatives and those further away. If you would like to help the NHS and patients with Covid19 maybe you would like to crochet some hearts or make some laundry bags. When there are some ready please contact me.

For people who crochet

Crochet hearts are being used by hospital staff to create a link between the patients and the relatives who are not allowed to visit. The idea is that one heart of a pair of the same colour is given to the patient and the matching one to a relative, to provide a link between them. If you have anyone in your congregation who crochets they may like to get involved. View &/or download the pattern here.

For people who stitch.

Pillow cases are being turned into laundry bags for NHS workers during the Covid19 outbreak. After work the staff can put their contaminated scrubs into the bag and then straight into the washing machine, to avoid possible contaminating anything at home and wash on a hot wash of 60 degrees C. If you have anyone in your congregation who likes to sew they may like to get involved. View &/or download the sets of instructions here for making the bags from pillow cases and duvet covers.

Thank you
