Coundon Methodist Church is situated in a densly populated part of Coundon. It nestles between Westhill Road and the Holyhead Road.
The church evolved from humble beginnings in a wooden hut in 1938. It is an ecumenical church, having strong links with the United Reform Church in Holyhead Road, sharing Worship, Bible studies, Lent groups and Eastertide
The church has developed strong links with the local community through the work of the Coundon Care Centre and the various groups which meet on the premises. We aim to develop outreach and growth in this community and in the surrounding areas.
Sunday worship is at 10.30 in the morning and at 6.30 in the evening.
We partake in Holy Communion at one morning and at one evening service every month. Morning service on the second Sunday in the month is a Family Parade service. Please see the 'Preaching Plan' page for details of the services.
We have a Junior Church for children from the age of 3 - 4 years upwards, which meets at the same time as our Sunday morning worship.
The church is licensed for christenings, marriages and funerals.
Social activities are organised by our social committee. Recent events have included supper club concerts and a church picnic.
